Iron
Iron is the most important constituent of hemoglobin, a compound contained in the blood and responsible to carry oxygen to all organs.

Important sources of iron are meat, liver, egg yolk and whole grain cereals. A lack of iron may cause anaemia, reduce physical fitness or resistance to infections.
