Zinc
Zinc is a component of biochemical substances called enzymes, which are involved in many metabolic processes, including energy formation. It is essential for the regulation of growth.

Important sources of zinc are oysters, liver, high protein food, fish, and whole grain cereals. A zinc deficiency may lead to growth retardation, irritability, increased susceptibility to infection, and slow healing of wounds.
