Another name for vitamin B2 is Riboflavin.
It plays an important role in body growth, red cell reproduction, and in
releasing energy from carbohydrates.
Important sources of Riboflavin are meat, eggs, nuts,
green leafy vegetables and dairy products. A deficiency of this vitamin
is not common, as it is contained in most foods. However deficiency symptoms are
dry and cracked skin and eye sensitivity to bright light.
